Dark Horse Institute’s Weekend Master will be held at the legendary Dark Horse Recording in Franklin, TN.
Dark Horse Institute will host a three-day event designed to improve your songwriting skills and portfolio.
You will be writing in the same studio where Taylor Swift, Matchbox Twenty, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and countless others from around the globe record and produce their records.
Throughout three days, campers will have the opportunity to learn the foundations of a career as a songwriter or artist. You will work in co-writing sessions just like the writing retreats which frequently book Dark Horse Recording for top artists like Sean Mendez, Jack Harlow, Kings of Leon, and many more. You will be writing alongside industry professionals with a proven track record of getting cuts, as well as producers to help create original tracks alongside your writing.
Whether you want to be a professional songwriter, recording artist, producer, or you’re interested in learning more about the entertainment industry. Our high school summer camp is a fun and eye-opening way to experience what it takes to write a hit.

In three days, you will learn the key tools that hit songwriters use daily, then use those tools to write and record it alongside professional songwriters and producers.

Where
Our summer camp will be held at Dark Horse Recording, in Franklin, TN. and six miles from Dark Horse Institute. Now in its 30th year, Dark Horse Recording has been home to some of the biggest and most celebrated artist in the world. Our clients include Tim McGraw, Hunter Hayes, Korn, For King and Country, Trace Atkins, Relient K, Faith Hill, Mastodon, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift and countless others.
Tuition
Our three-day camp costs $1,200 and includes materials and lunch.
