Studio Recording Myths
There are many people out there who will tell you all kinds of things about studio recording, but how many of those things are myths? An often misconception is that audio engineers can fix bad performances in the studio. A term thrown around a lot in the industry is “studio magic” which referring to fixing and editing of audio, but “studio magic” can only go so far. A good audio engineer can fix tuning, timing, and volume but if the performance is lacking there is no way to fix emotion. Another popular myth is that there is a “right way” of recording something. Of course their is way that may not work as well or delivers unwanted results but at the end of the day there is no “right way” to record something.
